The Inyo County Board of Supervisors will be meeting at 10 a.m. today for a regular meeting. During the meeting the board is scheduled to hear a presentation on county mining, a recent decision by the Bureau of Land Management and what it might mean to the local industry.

Inyo County and CalTrans will be performing rock demolition operations on Whitney Portal Road today from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. County officials are asking the public to stay clear of this area; the demolition operation cannot be performed if there is a threat to public safety.
Inyo County will be holding several community meetings throughout the month of March into April to discuss what can and can't be done to regulate commercial/recreational cannabis use and related businesses.
