Monday, Feb. 12

Bishop City Council
The Bishop City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 301 W. Line St. The meeting will be streamed live on Channel 12 or online at cityofbishop.com.

Big Pine Civic Club

Tuesday, Feb. 13

Tri-County Fair board
The regular board meeting and planning session of the Tri-County Fair Board will be at 8 a.m. at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in the Tallman Pavilion.

County supervisors
The Inyo County Board of Supervisors meets in regular session at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Chambers at the County Administrative Center in Independence, 224 N. Edwards St. The meetings can be streamed live at http://www.inyocounty.us/Board_of_Supervisors/.

Lone Pine Chamber installation
The Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors installation mixer will be from 5:30-7 p.m. at the home of David and Jeanne Willey, 4260 Mt. Langley Lane.

Indian Creek-Westridge CSD
The Indian Creek-Westridge Community Services District will be holding its regular quarterly board of directors meeting at 6 p.m. at the Christian Science Church at the corner of Grandview Drive and W. Line Street.

English Class
English for Speakers of Other Languages will be at Bishop Union High School from 6:30-8 p.m. in Room 307. It is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays by the Inyo County Superintendent of Schools and is free. The textbook is $15. The instructor is Julie Metz, (760) 920-5116.

Wednesday, Feb. 14

Bishop Sunrise Rotary Club
Bishop Sunrise Rotary Club meets at 7:11 a.m. at the Northern Inyo Hospital Board Room Annex, 2957 Birch St., Bishop.

NIH Auxiliary
Northern Inyo Hospital Auxiliary will meet at 10 a.m. at 2957 Birch St. for a combined board and general meeting. All members are encouraged to attend. After the meeting the group will host a soup lunch. Bring a dish to share. For more information, call Shirley Stone, (760) 872-1914.

Elders activity
Senior citizens and elders in Inyo County are invited to attend a free and fun monthly activity and health discussion hosted by Inyo County Health and Human Services, Public Health and Prevention Division. The event is from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Elders Building. This month’s activity is decorating cookies for Valentine’s Day. Master Gardeners bonsai class
The UCCE Inyo and Mono Counties’ master gardeners invite the public to attend a free presentation on learning the Japanese art form of Bonsai. At 6 p.m. at Highlands Senior Club House, 1440 MacGregor Ave., Bishop, there will be a meet and greet followed by the Bonsai presentation from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Those who wish to stay for the general meeting from 7:30-8:30 p.m. are welcome.

Thursday, Feb. 15

Bishop Chamber Luncheon
The Bishop Area Chamber of Commerce networking luncheon will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the Bishop Elks Lodge, 151 E. Line St., Bishop. Network with other local business owners and community leaders; lunch, $15 per person. For more information, call (7650) 873-8405.

Yoga classes
The Imagination Lab hosts yoga classes led by Sabine Ellis every Thursday from noon-1 p.m. The Imagination Lab is located at 621 W. Line St., Ste. 204.
Lions Club
The Bishop Lions Club meets at noon in the Patio Building at the Tri-County Fairgrounds.

Bingo at Senior Center

Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers meets at 5:30 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church every Thursday. The church is located at 700 Hobson St., Bishop.

Poetry out loud
Enjoy an evening of spoken word while supporting Inyo County high school students as they compete for the chance to represent Inyo County and California in this exciting national poetry recitation competition. TOPS weight-loss program meets every Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Highlands Adult Clubhouse. Community members can reach their weight-loss goals by providing the tools, information, support and accountability to succeed. TOPS is open to men, women and teens.

Bingo at Senior Center

Eastside Writing Circle
