Leonard L. Rosga
Born June 14, 1928 in Elmhurst, Ill. 24-year Bishop resident Leonard L. Rosga passed away June 5, 2014 at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop. He was 85.
Leonard was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a helper at Sunday School. He was a 20-year faithful volunteer at Salvation Army in Bishop. He was also in the Illinois National Guard during World War II. He loved being outdoors, fishing and hiking, and spending time with his family.
Leonard will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine Rosga of Bishop; daughters, Angela Hubachek and Connie Sawyer, both of Hemet; son, Scott and his wife, Aritzia of Bishop; grandchildren, Matthew, Sara and Andrew Rosga of Bishop; Kris Simmons of Hemet and Eric Sanders of Des Plaines, Ill.; and great-granddaughter, Isabella. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Rosga of Grand Rapids, Mich.; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Fran Rosga of Bend, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Inga Rosga; and brother, Dick Rosga.
A memorial service was held June 8 at Hillis Hall of the First Presbyterian Church in Bishop, with Pastor Peter Thomsen officiating.
Interment will be private.
