The Mammoth Lakes Music Festival starts this Wednesday, July 23 and continues through Aug. 8 at Cerro Coso College’s Mammoth campus with evening concerts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.
Violinist Rebecca Hang, and her husband, cellist Brian Schuldt, founded the music festival 12 years ago. Asked how she would describe the festival, Hang lightheartedly replied, “The World Cup of Chamber Music.”
“World Cup” is an apt description of the festival with its lineup of 20 international and world-class guest musicians from Israel, France, Korea and American cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Tucson and Cleveland.
