American Legion Aux. Unit 118
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 118, Bishop, holds its meeting at Alta One at 3 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month.

MOMS CLUB Pack
The next Pack will be at 6 p.m. at the Bishop City Hall Auditorium. Donations can be dropped off at that time. The board meeting will take place one hour earlier at 5 p.m.

Health and Human Services
The Inyo County Health and Human Services Snap-Ed program will have its fall and winter Physical Education, Nutrition and Cooking Classes. The first class will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at 506 Park Ave. (the Bishop Senior Center behind the Bishop City Park). Classes will be conducted in Spanish and English. Call Eryn at (760) 872-1886 or Natalia at (760) 873-7868 to RVSP. Make sure to wear a comfortable pair of shoes as there will be dancing as well as cooking. Child care will be provided.

Rotary Club of Bishop

Bingo at Senior Center
AARP is offering bingo at 1 p.m. at the Bishop Senior Center behind the City Park. Everyone age 18 and older is welcome to attend. Callers and cashiers are needed. For more information, call (760) 873-5839.

High Sierra Chorus
The High Sierra Chorus’ fall session, “Sounds of Christmas” begins at the First Presbyterian Church, 585 N. Main St., in Bishop. Enter through breezeway off Elm Street. Registration and voicing to take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with the rehearsal to begin right after. Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. from Oct. 6 - Dec. 22. Mental illness support group
If you are the parent, spouse, son, daughter, or care giver of a loved one living with a diagnosed mental illness and you sometimes feel overwhelmed, alone, ashamed, exasperated and exhausted NAMI Eastern Sierra offers a family support group. The group is a free, confidential and safe group that meets on the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30 - 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church on 205 North Fowler St. in Bishop. Free computer classes
Free weekly computer and Internet classes are held at the Bishop Senior Center at 506 Park St., on Wednesdays. Beginner-level classes are from 3-4:30 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. for users at the intermediate-level. The purpose of these free weekly sessions is to help the residents of Bishop become more acquainted with computer and Internet skills needed in today’s online environment. If you are scared of using technology, this class is for you. It is a hands-on, interactive learning experience (iPads provided) that requires no previous knowledge. Any and all questions are welcome! The training is provided by the ESCRBC through a Pillsbury Foundation Grant. For more information, contact all the instructor at (760) 263-9687.

American Legion Auxiliary
American Legion Auxiliary Big Pine Glacier Unit No. 457 will be hosting an official visit from District President Vicky Langdon. In her honor a dinner will be served at 6 p.m. in the Big Pine Town Hall, the regular business meeting will follow at 7 p.m. All American Legion and Auxiliary members are encouraged to attend.
