The Eastern Sierra is known the world over as one of the best trout fishing refuges in the U.S. Each year, residents and visitors flock to local waters, seeking trophy-sized rainbows. Anglers are often fond of the area's brook trout, German browns and, of course, the elusive Golden Trout, California's state fish.
From the backcountry waters of the High Sierra, to the Owens River on the valley floor, and even some warm-water opportunities dotted about Inyo County, there is no better place to get away from the grind of the work week than in Inyo County.
