A winter storm is dumping snow in the upper elevations with the snowline expected to drop to 8,000 feet. As of 2 p.m. today in Mammoth Mammoth, residents were reporting as much as nine inches of snow, with more on the way. Lower elevations of the Eastern Sierra, like Crowley Lake, are also expected to get several inches of snow before the storm blows out of the area on Wednesday.
