It was a thrill ride of a game for the Big Pine Warriors Wednesday night on their home court against the Lee Vining Tigers. With literally seconds left on the clock as it wound down to the end of the fourth period, the Warriors trailed by one point.

A technical foul by Lee Vining with less than 20 seconds left in the game gave Dominic Santiago (5) the chance the Warriors needed to even the score from the charity line. After missing the first shot, Santiago scored on his second attempt to send the game into overtime.

In overtime play the Warriors were the first to score with 1:38 left on the clock when they hit a three-pointer leaving the Tigers trailing by 3 with the score 47-44. With around 40 seconds left on the clock in overtime the Tigers evened up the score 47-47. Big Pine put another point on the board at about the 20 second remaining mark to lead the Tigers 48-47. With just over 14 seconds left to play in overtime Big Pine upped their lead to 49-47. Lee Vining managed put another two points on the board in the remaining seconds of the game, but a free throw by Big Pine clinched the win with a final score of 50-49.
